repercusssions of formation of third front.

repurcussions of the third front.
sorry comrade i don't see this as a revolutionary turning point in the history of india.
our performance in this election in my prediction would be poor.
we might win two in tripura, 25 in west bengal, 6 in kerala.
we may not win any in tamilnadu. i am not sure of andhra pradesh.
i feel (even if it is necessary) what comrade prakash karat and comrade bb are saying is pure posturing.
as far as regional parties and our relationship with them goes...history is not our side.
telugu desam on secularism remained with bjp even during gujrat riots. its policies during their regime was anything but pro-poor.
it was completely in favour of big business.
bjd was with the bjp even when the gujrat riots happenned. its policies in respect of indiscriminate mining and industrilisation is any thing but pro-poor.
jd (SECULAR) hobnobbed with the bjp in karnataka. it policies are very unclear on industrialisation, globalisation etc. it happens to the most unreliable partner in recent times.
jaylalitha was all along there with bjp during gujrat riots. its policies on globalisation and privatisation are still unclear. one of most oppurtunistic and unreliable partner to have in the coalition.
less said the better about future alliances after elections with likes of mulayam singh yadav, ajit singh, chautala or mayawati.
on the question of participation in any government. the party has been very clear from the begining. we should have DECICIVE majority amongst the ruling coalition only then the question of participation arises.
unfortunately in my opinion this time it won't happen.
but this would give us an oppurtunity to look within and prepare from now on for a campaign on pro active programme.
constuctive programme with specific details on development.
build unity amongst the ranks of our party.
isolate the careerists within the party.(e.g.laxman seth)
a sustained campaign from the grassroot level is the only way to change things.
a sustained campaign against fundamentalism. (both hindu and muslim)(e.g. madani)
cobling together a so called third front would only take us back...its only palatial politics.
to justify this by calling it names like federalism and pro-poor is only gimmicry...
sorry to say this.
regards
prakash kutty.
