i am very well aware of the party programme. the agenda was specifically for elections. offcourse the meeting with bjd, telegu desam, bsp or janata dal(secular? ) is not on the basis of the party programme. there are immediate tactics and long term stratagies.
keeping that into consideration i put forward a may be 'wrong agenda'. my point is there should be a constructive agenda.
i did not suggest private participation in any of the projects. but we should define what can be done. how can it be done. from where is finances to come.
regarding private sector participation, strict guidelines would be followed unlike under the bjp or the congress regimes.
regarding fdi, strict guidelines would be followed, what would be the sectors where there can be fdi. which are the sectors where indian capitalists/ indian public sector would be given soaps to develop and compete the foreign onslaught.
my proposed 'agenda' might be wrong, some alternate agenda has to come forward, rather than a ritual of coming together of non-bjp, non-congress parties. this has nothing to do with the party program or the revolution.
you also have to understand within the party program what stage of revolution we are in.
regarding com srini's comments.
only public sector can do everything, given an oppurtunity yes. but i don't think we have the resources.
i do have strong reservations about the view 'only large scale manufacturing can create jobs in this country.'
we have to be country specific. innovative ways and means have to found for job creation. i am nowhere shying away from the responsibility of the state to provide employment.
don't ridicule because lot of which i said are already in the process of implementation in kerala and west bengal.
i am only saying formulate it into an agenda. let people from all walks of life, let parties of all shades react to it. let the so called allies of the third front agree or disagree with it.
party programme is a policy document for the long term. elections are fought on the basis of present polical dynamics.
we have a chance to play a pivotal role by bringing in 'governance' as a topic of debate.
we are a fighting party, but we can also govern better than these parties. we need to potray that too.
we should not be potrayed only as a ANTI party. or HOBE NA party.
take it or leave it.
regards
prakash kutty.
