lalgarh and beyond (cont.)

there is severe dissillusionment about our govt amongst our main constituency namely the working class and specially the small peasantry. there is severe mistrust about us. the feeling is the same about the govt in maharashtra in the context of the sez being planned in raigad dist in this state.
the govt here is seen as an estate agent for mukesh ambani.
unfortunately we are also seen as estate agents for tatas and the saleem group.
our enemies have been successful is creating this fear about us.
we have been hardly imaginative in evolving our developmental agenda.
we completed our role of distributing the land to the poor. what after that.
our enimies term it as 'equal distribution of poverty'
we have done great in the egaliterial process. but we severely lag in general humal index.
education, health, crime, hygene, women, sports bengal is hardly different from any other state in india.
a historic oppurtunity about the state of minorities, a model could have been created.
we failed miserably. the state of muslims is no different than any of the states in india.
we have to be imaginative in our developmental agenda.
economic prosperity within the capitalist system, better education, better health services, better infrastructure, a very good RESPONSIVE ADMINISTRATION is the need of the hour.
we can win short wars on the streets the way we won after nandigram. i remember we took out victory rallies after the ' recapture' of nandigram.
it won't last long.
its a political war. we are at the loosing end. we have committed mistakes. we had become arrogant. we had lost pulse of the small peasantry.
people like laxman seth should be isolated. the gram panchayats should take over. dissent should be encouraged at the grassroot level.
maharashtra govt conducted a refrendrum on the land aquisition for the sez by the ambanis. we could have done the same.
but people like laxman seth is the election and the result. he can take the decision unanimously (read unilateraly) on behalf of the naive peasantry. we dont punish him. we reward him with a parlimentary ticket. people think....they know what is going to be tommorrow.
we have to win the hearts of the people by making some drastic changes in our conduct. conduct i mean our personel conduct and administrative conduct amongst people.
russel said in a communist country 'all are equal, some are more equal' we should prove him wrong.
we both in kerala and in bengal are over enthusiastically trying to prove him right.

last but not least. about bengal.
we need to isolate mamta.
we need to win over her supporters from the downtrodden. the desertion of the ranks from our party should be stopped.
we need to regain the trust of the small peasentry.
we need to regain the trust of the minorities.
declare openly we committed a mistake with nandigram and singur.
we should have taken the small peasentry into confidence.
start a new policy initiative for the educative reformation amongst the minorities.
start a recruipment drive(filling vacancies) for the minorities.
have a policy for upliftment of the minorities.
say sorry about the rizwannur episode.
bring a change in leadership. so that this looks like a new initiative and not a cut and paste job.
new face. new leadership, new policy initiative.
it looks new.
ITS AGRESSIVE. IT HAS TO BE AGRESSIVE. IT SHOULD NOT LOOK APOLEGETIC.
we are revolutionaries. we commit mistakes. we ACCEPT them. we CORRECT them.
we have to show it now.
NOW...
regards
