this election was termed to be a 'turning point' in the revolutionary struggle of this country. unfortunately it is true but due to different reasons.
the question of a federal state and the third front is purely a convinient argument.
many times i feel we in a very unsientific way, a very non-marxist way try to argue and interpret the political compulsions and make it 'revolutionary turning point'.
rather than wasting time on the regional parties we should build an independent strong national level party.
we don't have a single assembly seat in andhra pradesh. probably for the first time in the electoral history.
there is no alternative to building an national level party which would lead the coalition from the front.
hiding behind arguments of federalism for short term electoral gains with alliances with non-relilable fuedal corrupt parties is a non- starter.
we should not hesitate to discuss the short comings, grave mistakes, serious diversion within the party for the interest of our party.
i was in kerala recently. i beleive com pinaray is innocent.
but the party is completely out of touch with reality in dealing with the situation.
it is being percieved widely amongst the public that party is taking extra efforts to save com secretary from a investigation.
why can't com vijayan face an investigation.
it would set an excellent example in public life.
it is seen as sheer arrogance by the people of kerala.
the projects of an amusement park and an five star hotel as business ventures by the party is also very misplaced.
the 'tools of imperialism, capitalism' the church indulges in building hospitals, schools. the sndp, the nair samajam all indulge in similar activities or even start banks.
these steps are percieved to be arrogant and completely out of touch with the people.
if com VS is asked to step down. only discipline cannot be an issue. what is the issue he was trying to bring up also has to be taken into consideration.
all are equal some are more equal cannot be tolerated.
both in bengal and kerala we head a govt. we have the home ministry. why can't we contain the voilence.
why are private armies been encouraged by both sides.
we are the most advance section of the society. why can't we have the best security agency in place.
if a political worker is attacked, injured or killed; the home ministry has to be held responsible.
if there were dyfi workers killed in tallachery what is our home minister doing?
if there were farmers terrorised by our party cadres allegedly led by laxman sheth, what was the home ministry doing?
if there were our sympathisers who had to stay in refugee camps for more than an year,
why is the home minister held accountable?
laxman sheth might have been censored internally within the party, what about his accountability toward the public. he was rewarded with a party ticket for the lok sabha.
the private army of the cpm tackeled the situation in nandigram and the home minister says 'we paid them in the same coin"
in this case it is the small farmers who refused to give away there farmland to a industrial house.
we would call them the 'oppressed' in other parts of the country.
LAVLEEN, LAXMAN SHETH, NANDIGRAM, SINGUR, MADANI, RIZWANUR...these are serious abberations.
we should act and practice like a revolutionary party and not pretend to be one.
i think we are more and more behaving like a progressive democratic parties as in europe who have abandoned communism. atleast that is the case in bengal and kerala.
i am very curious to know about tripura.
but no body is interested.
we have seriously lost touch.
if you check the thread whether we should participate in the govt or not, but for a few exceptions every body was bathing the glory of a historic elections. there came a time when we were discusssing prime ministers from our party.
nobody expected such a rout in the elections.
i had predicted 6 in kerala, around 22 in bengal, none in TN.
i presume i was close.
prakash kutty.
